| Tour of Historical Dodge House |

casras77 writes, "The Harborcreek Historical Society is hosting a Tour of the Dodge House on Sat., Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the 14-room estate located at 6888 Buffalo Road, Harborcreek. While the home is NOT wheelchair accessible, those attending can browse the home and view a variety of furnishings, as well as meet the great-great granddaughter(s) of John Dodge, among the four generations of that family who lived there since 1854-55. "

Dennis & Kelli Branedel pruchased the house in 1978 and did extensive work on the barn/garage area, which on Tour Day will be the site of a Chinese auction, the Historical Society display table, and the Pennsyvlania Grape Queen will serve samples of our local grape juice.
Tickets are $5.00 in advance (Simply Beautiful Interiors, Evelyn's Hallmark, and the Northeast Branch of Northwest Savings Bank). You may call the Historical Society office at 897-2685 for more information. Admission at the gate on the 15th is $6.00. Parking is available on the west side of the Dodge House, as well as in the parking lot of The First Presbyterian Church of Harborcreek, 6724 Buffalo Road. The church this year is celebrating its 175th anniversary and will be open that day as well.
